Everyone Has Advice

Everyone has advice

Everyone has advice from the guy at the corner store to your corporate cousin. Everyone will tell you how to run your business. What you should do and how you should do it.

Most people have bad advice. Nobody knows how you see things.

Nobody has been where you have been.

Nobody has been where you want to go.

So how do they know how to get there?

People advise many reasons, some of which are well-intentioned, others less so.

People care about you and don’t want to see you get hurt, that can slow you down. Some are jealous not directly, sometimes without knowing it, and they will sabotage you with bad advice. Some people have been hurt in the past and their fears will permeate through their wisdom and advice and these words could cling to you and your future actions. Some advise to feel important, some for drama, some to play devil's advocate for ulterior motives.

You will have to learn to block that out say thank you keep your eyes on your goals and let them keep their eyes on their goals.

I remember a time when I was sitting at a cafe with a friend, and at the time I was starting a small business. They were giving me advice on how foolish I was to try to go with my idea and how nobody would be interested. But how they thought I should start a franchise coffee shop. A completely different business that I knew nothing about nor I was passionate about. Not to mention that I would need half a million to get started. They seemed passionate about it, but they liked the job they were at, and that I should do it.

My point is some people try but they have no clue or frame of reference from where you are coming from or going to.

Keep yourself surrounded by like-minded individuals,  get a mentor, find a study group or a mastermind. Get your nose in some books if needed. Always find people that are where you are going not where you are at.

Like an old saying run with the wolves until the wolves run with you.

If you are willing to run with a group of entrepreneurs doing things a little differently I invite you to come over and check out what we are doing. We are a group of entrepreneurs, each with our own business doing our own thing but running side by side.

Click the link and take a look, we could run together.
